The BorderWare Firewall Server’s integrated IPSec VPN Server supports both server-server and client-server VPN connections. The IPSec VPN Server is fully standards-compliant and supports connections
with a large range of third party devices.
The IPSec VPN Server supports a wide range of encryption methods, including DES, 3DES, TwoFish, Cast, Blowfish and AES/Rijndael. IKE is used for session set up, and PKI is supported for more
advanced use.The IPSec VPN Server also supports multiple tunnel types with full access control.
For remote workstations, BorderWare provides the Sentinel VPN Client. The Sentinel VPN Client is an easy-to-use solution for providing remote VPN access to corporate networks, and may be
managed based on centrally devised policies. It incorporates a personal firewall to prevent “hijacking” of VPN connections by Trojan Horses and similar threats.
All VPN connections – server and client - can be secured with granular access controls and by additional layers of authentication, including PKI certificates and hardware tokens like RSA SecurID.
IPSec VPN connections are readily specified using BWClient, with “wizards” guiding the administrator through the required steps.
